Co-Founder of 45N DiveHi, I’m Leia. The ocean has always been a source of curiosity and inspiration for me. Through diving, I’ve been fortunate to travel to different countries and experience a wide range of underwater environments. More importantly, I’ve had the chance to meet incredible people who shared not only their favorite dive sites, but also the stories, culture, and passion behind the waters they call home. Those experiences taught me that every body of water is unique. Whether it’s a tropical reef, a cenote, or a freshwater lake, each place has its own character and its own community. Diving has become more than a hobby for me—it’s a way to connect with people, explore new perspectives, and appreciate the beauty of the underwater world through local eyes. As part of the team at 45N Dive, I love helping guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Whether you’re planning your first dive or your next adventure, I’m here to make your experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Canada has introduced me to another incredible side of diving. Its crystal-clear freshwater lakes, fascinating wrecks, and ever-changing seasons create experiences that are unlike anywhere else. I’m excited to share these unique waters with visitors from around the world and help them discover why we love diving here. Kunpeng Song (Bill)
PADI InstructorHi, I’m Bill—and I believe the world is meant to be explored. From the sky, to the mountains, to the sea, adventure has shaped every chapter of my life. Whether I’m flying through the clouds, carving fresh snow, or exploring beneath the surface, I’ve always been curious about what’s around the next corner. Today, I get to live that curiosity as a private pilot, snowboard instructor, and PADI scuba diving instructor. To me, scuba diving is far more than booking a flight, hopping on a dive boat, and checking sharks off a bucket list. While those adventures are unforgettable, diving is much more than recreation. It’s a discipline built on sound judgment, careful planning, continuous learning, and respect for the underwater environment. Every dive is the result of preparation, teamwork, and thoughtful decision-making—because safety is never left to chance. As a technical and cave diver, I’ve had the privilege of exploring everything from the breathtaking cave systems of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula to the historic shipwrecks of Canada’s Great Lakes. Each environment brings its own challenges, and every dive teaches me something new. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some exceptional instructors throughout my own training, and each of them has shaped the way I teach today. I continue to refine my approach with every course I teach, because I believe learning never stops—for instructors or for students. My goal isn’t simply to certify divers. I want my students to understand not only how we dive, but why we dive the way we do. When people understand the reasoning behind the skills, they become more confident, capable, and independent divers long after the course is over. Whether you’re taking your very first breath underwater or continuing into technical diving, I’d be honored to be part of your journey. I look forward to welcoming you to 45N Diving.
